Abstract Painting Intensive for Intermediate Level: Big, Bold, and Beautiful

Ready to crank up the volume on your abstract art? In this 6-hour deep dive, you’ll start with a fast and fascinating history of abstract painting—no dusty textbooks, just pure inspiration. Then it’s your turn to shine and bring your inspiration to life on a 24” x 36” canvas. Learn the secrets of gels and glazes to create depth, drama, and jaw-dropping textures—hello, transparency tricks! Watch the magic happen in our quick-fire demos, then get down and dirty blocking in your canvas with fearless color and luscious layers. We’re talking big moves, fresh ideas, and zero hesitation. Bring your questions—group feedback is your new BFF. By the end you’ll have a bold, beautiful statement piece that’s all you. Let’s make some magic!

For experienced, intermediate students. Rule-breakers and risk-takers are especially welcome!

Exact required supply list will be shared via email before the workshop session and will give attendees ample time to prepare. Expect to need basics such as acrylic paint, brushes, palette knife, palette paper or palette, canvas, acrylic gel medium and glaze.

Bring smock, gloves, and that untamed creative spirit.

Sign up now to claim your art supply list and start creating! Limited spots available. Registration at least a week in advance is requested.
